GeoTwinn
Second
GeoTwinn Project
Workshop
Duration: 30th September -2nd October, 2019
The second GeoTwinn project workshop took place at Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), in Copenhagen, DK. The workshop was held from 30th September 2019 to 2nd October 2019 and was attended by altogether 18 people from all three institutions: Croatian geological Survey (HGI-CGS), Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS) and British Geological Survey (BGS).
The main objectives of the workshop were to summarise and disseminate the results of the activities carried out in the first year of the project, and to harmonize plans for the future. This included gathering and presenting all information about learning outcomes of training held in the framework of GeoTwinn project and an insight into experiences of trainers, as well as trainees, in order to agree on aims and plans for implementation of future trainings. Also, increased attention was given to the publication plan and plan regarding dissemination activities.
The workshop was closed with Training on ‘on-site’ recognition of landslide types and features, at famous Møns Klint, and was led by Dr Stig Schack Pedersen, an expert in Structural Geology and Tectonics, as well as Glacial Geology, and a very dear colleague from GEUS.
To sum up, the workshop was brief but instructive and productive.
